Robb Fischer Director Headshot

Robb Fischer

DIRECTOR & CINEMATOGRAPHER

Visual Storytelling | Lifestyle | People

Robb Fischer is a director, a cinematographer, a magician, a fitness enthusiast, but most notably, a storyteller who knows how to capture genuine human emotions on screen. Whether it’s depicting the range of feelings a cancer patient goes through between diagnosis and treatment or the way a foster child looks at the world, Robb has a special knack for making both actors and non-actors comfortable enough to capture especially natural and intimate moments on camera.

Robb brings more than twenty years of experience and a passion for the art of storytelling and lighting to his work. His “lighting is everything” credo originates from a deep background in the field, including opening one of the first lighting companies in Wisconsin, The Electric Sun Corporation. He sees lighting as a storytelling tool and often uses a style of amplified-naturalism to create scenarios that feel unlit but, in reality, have been carefully crafted to evoke a specific mood.

Over the years, Robb has shot diverse subjects from U.S. Presidents to Super Bowl spots for GoDaddy. His credits include feature films, documentaries, short films, music videos and an extensive list of commercials for clients like Citgo, Fleet Farm, Scheels, Culver’s, Michigan State University, G.H. Cretors and Moffitt Cancer Center. Directing and filming award-winning commercials has taken him from remote villages in Belize to filming on tour with The Rolling Stones.

Robb doesn’t view his work in a vacuum. He enjoys and encourages active collaboration with the creative team who crafted the concept and takes great pride in working with them to bring their vision to life while creating images that both inspire and entertain.
